Dog-friendly holiday in July

Hélène Chaussavoine

It is the time of year again where we are all looking forward to some time off by the sea, away from our daily routine. Here at Sail Lofts, we like to make sure that everyone gets to enjoy some peaceful time so we also welcome your pooches in some of the apartments.

Dog-friendly apartments

Choose between Island, Zennor, Harbour or Curno and treat your four-legged best friend to a holiday trip to St Ives. Our apartments are spacious with plenty of floor space for your pooch to feel at home and relax. We will provide a doggy hamper with a blanket, a treat and a couple of bowls so you have the essentials for their holiday.

Dog-friendly beaches

St Ives makes the perfect place to go to the beach ... and for your dog too! Bamaluz Beach is open all year round for dogs and is only a few minutes' walk from your Sail Lofts apartment. St Ives Pier beach is also dog-friendly and is exceptionally spacious when the tide is out. If your best friend likes the early walk, we recommend going to Porthmeor Beach as dogs are allowed there before 10am which makes the perfect opportunity to start the day with walk and a coffee on the beach. All beaches also become dog-friendly after 6pm. To make the most of your time, check our blog below which will give you all the information about dog restrictions:

Dog-friendly restaurants

St Ives is ideal when it comes to go on holiday with your pooch. To name a few, The Hub on the harbour, The Porthmeor Cafe, The Porthminster Cafe or even The Scroof Troff are all welcoming dogs and will happily have you for dinner with your four-legged friend.

Dog-friendly walks

If you are looking to do some exploring in the area and would like to walk some of coastal paths with your four-legged friend, there are plenty of options. From St Ives to Zennor or Carbis Bay you will not need to take your car to appreciate the beautiful scenery surrounding St Ives. On the other hand, if you would like to venture further afield, there is plenty of walks around The Lizard Point, The Helford River but also towards St Agnes and Porthtowan way.

Tehidy woods is also a must-see if you like walking in the middle of beautiful trees and greenery.
