Just minutes away from Porthmeor, one of the most popular beaches in Cornwall, Island is an elegant, luxury self-catering apartment in the heart of old St Ives. This laid-back loft style accommodation has a generous master bedroom as well as a bright, spacious living area, providing a quiet, secluded space from the bustle of St Ives.
On the first floor the spacious open-plan living, kitchen and dining area is perfect at any time of year. Exposed beams, high ceilings and oak limed floors create a five-star relaxed feel, with large sofa’s making it a space for the whole family to gather and relax.
Island has two ground floor bedrooms. The master king-size bedroom overlooks the Sail Lofts sub-tropical courtyard, and the second super-king bedroom can be made into a twin-bedded room if required.
Topping off this elegant modern apartment on the first floor is an open-plan living-kitchen-diner. Flooded with natural light from the Velux windows, it’s a space to relax and enjoy time together.
Island’s spacious family bathroom has a bathtub and separate shower cubicle. Finished in contemporary black slate, this modern bathroom also comes with complimentary Elemis toiletries.
It was our first time in St Ives and our stay at Sail Lofts literally made it perfect. The apartments are so luxurious, with super comfy beds, a well-equipped kitchen and the attention to detail second to none. The staff are so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We will never go anywhere else. Hoping to come back next year.
My husband and I stayed at the Sail Lofts apartments in St Ives over Christmas this year. We were in the Island apartment which was absolutely stunning. Every inch of the apartment was spotless and very well equipped. Every little detail had been carefully thought about to make our stay so pleasurable.
Stayed in Island for last 6 days and can genuinely say from our experience that the excellence of the ratings are totally justified. The accommodation is really of the highest standard in terms of decor, furnishing, maintenance and cleanliness. It was one of the few places where you could say that it was a pleasure to be stuck in when it rained (and being Cornwall in the autumn it occasionally did!). The location is perfect - wonderful to be so near Porthmeor Beach and the Tate, yet also close to Fore Street shops.
My family of four and I made our 4th successive stay at the Sail Lofts in St Ives and once again the experience was close to impeccable. We stayed in the Island apartment which is spacious and well appointed as well as being literally steps away from Porthmeor Beach. The staff have a great way of being available as needed but in an understated way that allows you to get on with your holiday. Location is a real plus point for the Sail Lofts being within 5 minutes walk of Porthmeor and Porthgwidden.
Our private car park is a short 8-minute stroll from the Sail Lofts complex, which you can access 24 hours a day and come and go as you please. You will be given a bay allocation on arrival, which is yours to use for the duration of your holiday.

Located roughly 20 metres from Porthmeor beach and 200 metres from Porthgwidden Beach. The heart of St Ives and the harbour front is no more than a 5-minute walk, making Sail Lofts the ideal luxury self-catering apartments in St Ives for easy access to the beaches and local amenities.
