Located in West Cornwall, near the tip of England, St Ives has excellent travel links. With transport by train, plane and coach all easily arranged, it is a holiday destination accessible without a car. With restaurants, shops and activities all within easy walking distance, our guests don’t need to worry about using a car whilst staying with us.

Travel by Train

St Erth is the nearest station on the mainline down into Cornwall, with direct trains from London Paddington, Manchester Piccadilly, Birmingham New Street, Leeds, Bristol and Exeter amongst others. St Erth Station is 15 minutes from The Sail Lofts by taxi, or you can take the picturesque branch line which follows the coast around the bay, direct to St Ives. From St Ives Station, it’s a 10-minute walk to The Sail Lofts, or a very short taxi ride to the door of your apartment.

Travel by Plane

Flying to Cornwall is becoming ever more popular, with flights from most major cities. Daily flights come into Newquay Airport, and the easiest way from there to St Ives and The Sail Lofts is with a local taxi firm, which we can help you arrange. Alternatively, there are car hire facilities at the airport. It is approximately a 45-60 minute drive to St Ives.

Travel by Coach

National Express operate out of St Ives and cover most major UK cities.

Travel by Car

Follow the A30 (which links to the M5 at Exeter) westbound to the Hayle/St Erth roundabout and take the second exit signposted to St Ives. This will lead you, via Lelant and Carbis Bay, into the heart of the town. As part of each booking, we offer a complimentary parking space for all our guests at our private car park on Beach Road. All our guests also receive comprehensive directions and instructions by email, or post if requested. We recommend you turn Sat Navs off as you come into St Ives and follow the details we send you, as certain makes can be ‘misleading’.
