Conor Fletcher

St Ives has plenty of restaurants to enjoy but oftentimes it's well worth exploring the coast and seeing what else is on offer. From small cafes to restaurants overlooking the sea there's so many wonderful places to visit on a luxury self catering holiday in St Ives. With reserved parking throughout your stay you can go out on an adventure across the Cornish Coast and enjoy some of the best places to visit while you're in Cornwall. Here's our picks of some of the best places to eat that are only a short drive from St Ives.

The Godolphin - Marazion

Overlooking St Michael's Mount, The Godolphin is a special place to spend an evening. With the sun setting and the hazy evening drawing in there's no better place to enjoy yourself while out for a bite to eat. To get there simply take the road to Penzance and at the Long Rock Bypass roundabout take Newtown Lane into Marazion. Paid parking can be found on Folleyfield as you head toward the town.

Tinner's Arms - Zennor

Whether you've walked there, taken the bus or driven into Zennor a stop at the Tinner's Arms is almost certainly a must. Situated in the picturesque Cornish village of Zennor the Tinner's is a great way to get out from St Ives for an evening bite. At the moment they are first come first served so be sure to keep this in mind next time you visit.

The Old Forge - Lelant

Just on the way into St Ives you pass through Lelant, the Old Forge has quickly become one of our favourite places to visit. With menus catering for every dietary requirement The Old Forge is the perfect place to go for every member of the family.

Gurnards Head - near Zennor

The Gurnard's Head stands out on the country roads with its bright yellow walls so you can rest assured you won't pass it by without noticing. Inside the dining pub offers a wonderful taste of locally sourced food and with a seasonally changing menu there's no better way to enjoy Cornish produce at its best.

Whether you're looking to enjoy an evening out away from St Ives or simply find yourself further afield after a day spent adventuring the Cornish coast there's so many places you can enjoy dotted across the county.  If you've not secured your St Ives escape this year then why not take a look at our luxury self catering cottages in St Ives and find your Cornish home-from-home?
