May Events in St Ives

Conor Fletcher

As we look forward to sunnier days in St Ives we can start to map out events on the calendar that we have to look forward to, one stand out weekend is the Food and Drink Festival, a weekend of fun-filled food to be enjoyed on Porthminster Beach for a memorable weekend in St Ives. Just a short walk from our luxury self catering cottages the beach becomes awash with popup tents and takeaway food to be enjoyed all on the picturesque sands of the beach.
Last year the Food and Drink Festival saw a plethora of demonstration chefs at the demo stage ranging from TV's Juliet Sear to Ashley Palmer-Watts formerly of Heston Blumenthal's The Fat Duck. With tips, lessons and tastings there's nothing more fun than watching chefs at work, and picking up a few tips on the way.

Outside of the demonstration stage is a vast array of tents and displays for you to enjoy; from bratwurst to baked potatoes, pizza to paella - you won't go away feeling disappointed at the wealth of food and drink on offer.

The food and drink festival is no doubt one of the more unique events for the St Ives calendar, so if you're a food-fanatic don't miss out on this opportunity to take in one of St Ives' best seasonal events of the year.
