St Ives School of painting are offering some amazing art courses in the next coming months. These can be a perfect way to enjoy your stay in St Ives by immersing yourself in the art of Cornwall, whilst learning or developing useful artistic skills. We encourage our guests to make use of the local activities we have to offer and we feel that the art courses are a great activity to do.

About the Art Courses

The School of Painting offers a variety of different types of courses for both the type of art but also in length. Throughout this autumn they are offering both weekend and week-long courses. The courses are run by different tutors and are varied in length; lasting anywhere from 2-5 days allowing time for you to understand and develop your skills.  They also offer some courses specifically for complete novices, so if you fancy trying out a new skill on your holiday they have it covered for you.

Types of Art Courses Available

The School teach a wide range of courses for all to enjoy from using watercolour to develop your take on our beautiful Cornish landscapes. Or alternatively you could explore the art of texture using a palette knife and oils into your paintings. Again, if you fancy something a bit different, there are options for abstract drawing and using acrylic paint and print making. Out of season we are more likely to have some flexibility to accommodate your course for a selected number of apartments however this will be subject to availability.  So, the earlier we know the easier and more likely we may be able to help.
