St Ives September Festival

We've arrived at the beginning of the St Ives September Festival and have so much to look forward to in the coming fortnight. From music to dance, art and poetry we're in for two weeks of excitement to kick-start autumn. From the top of town to the edge of Porthmeor Beach the range of activities taking place in St Ives throughout the festival is enough to attract people from all over the world, being recently named by the Telegraph as one of the best places in the world to experience in September.

There is so much simply waiting for you to discover while staying at the Sail Lofts luxury self catering accommodation in St Ives, a lot of it being moments away.

Starting off the festival is westcountry folk singer Seth Lakeman, performing at the Guidhall on Saturday the 8th at 8pm. After that the next fourteen days are met with more music at the Guildhall or Lifeboat Inn almost every night, leaving the performances the perfect way to conclude your evening in St Ives.

For those looking to take in the artistic heritage of St Ives then you are without question in luck. From St Ives Stories at the Tate to classes and talks at nearby St Ives School of Painting at Porthmeor Studios there really is no better location to experience the best the festival has to offer. Soak up the experience as you hand pick events relaying the town's heritage at Leach Pottery, the Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Gardens and The Guildhall.

Stepping outside from your luxury apartment in St Ives and taking the short trip to Norway Square allows you to relax in the sunshine as between the hours of 12:30 and 2pm music and poetry in the square takes place frequently throughout the two weeks. Led by artist and poet Bob Devereux the event in Norway Square is certainly not to be missed.
