Off the beaten track – Hidden Gems

Tash Murch

We are so lucky to have so much to see and do in St Ives, with glowing beaches, water sports, boat trips, delicious restaurants and cafes and art galleries too. But why not take a few hours out of the town to explore somewhere out of the hustle and bustle, grab a bite to eat, admire the amazing countryside and see some of the local wildlife too.

We have put together a few ideas of places to visit that are just off the beaten track, but all within 30 minutes of your luxury self-catering apartment. Each has its own charm and is guaranteed to give you a relaxing few hours away from St Ives…with the bonus of cake!

Lakeside Cabin Café

Head out of the hustle and bustle towards the outskirts of St Ives, where you will be treated to great food in a peaceful setting overlooking Nance fishing lakes. Just 15 minutes from your luxury apartment, you will find a tranquil spot to enjoy a bite to eat or a coffee with friends.

One thing not to miss is the cakes at Lakeside Cabin Cafe, they are pieces of art and you would be missing out if you didn’t indulge. Alternatively, this cafe is perfect for an afternoon tea with a view, a big breakfast to start you off before a day out exploring or a delicous freshly prepared lunch.

Birdies Bistro

Located just 15 minutes from St Ives, and situated on the edge of RSPB’s Hayle’s reserve, Birdies Bistro offers spectacular views of the estuary whilst serving tasty fresh foods.
