St Ives has started 2020 with the fresh winter chill in the air, Christmas and New Year have passed us by and we're ready to start the year on the Cornish coast.

This year there's so much more to look forward to and 2020 looks to be the perfect time to visit St Ives and make the most of our award winning luxury self catering cottages in Cornwall.

September Festival - 12th to the 26th of September

The annual event returns for another fantastic fortnight of celebration for the arts, poetry and music. Acts are to be confirmed throughout the year but after the wonderful celebration last year, 2020's festival looks to be a must on the yearly calendar.

St Ives Food and Drink Festival

The perfect weekend if you're a foodie, with pop-up tents adorning Porthminster Beach you can enjoy delicacies from across the world. With chef demonstrations and an opportunity to taste some of what they cook . the demo stage is a great place to open your mind to what you can do in the kitchen and why not make the most of self catering while you're here and put yourself to the test?

Artisan Markets and so much more

St Ives has a calendar full of wonderful events and there's no better place to start looking than at the wonderful markets that are held from St Ives Guildhall. Local creators, farmers and artists have a range of their wares on show throughout the year leaving you able to enjoy some of the best of Cornwall's offerings.

Tour of Britain - September 6th

The cycle race across Britain for the first time begins in Cornwall. On the 6th of September the race will begin from Penzance and work its way up through the county passing St Ives and on to Bodmin. It's a must see for many and is sure to attract the cycling fanatics amongst us so getting into Penzance early if you want to see the start would be recommended!
