Kelly Weaver

A foodie mecca for many, St Ives has long been famed for its diverse and quality restaurants and now it joins the likes of Cannes, Bruges and Macau to be ranked ninth in the world for best places to dine out.

The rankings, compiled using data from TripAdvisor and the world-renowned Michelin Guide, have placed St Ives among the 20 top places in the world for a restaurant meal.

With the team regular diners in St Ives we thought this was the perfect time to share our favourite eateries…

Porthmeor Beach Café
Topping the list for Kelly is Porthmeor Beach Cafe.
Why? Because of the salt & pepper squid (it’s incredible), it also has the best view in St Ives and the outdoor dining pods give it that extra special edge.

Porthminster Kitchen
First choice for Conor is Porthminster Kitchen.
Why? With Conor being a vegetarian and gluten free, the Porthminster Kitchen offers creative and interesting dishes that buck the trend when it comes to gluten free cuisine.

Talay Thai
Helene’s top recommendation for eating out is Talay Thai
Why? With Thai cuisine Helene’s favourite, it wasn’t a hard choice but the ambience, the view and the delicious food all combine to make this Helene’s go-to-choice when dining out in St Ives.
