With June on the horizon summer’s arrival is quickly gaining momentum, St Ives is beginning to get in full swing with summertime events to satiate those out and about in the sun. For those visiting St Ives and staying in the Sail Lofts luxury apartments there are so many events to discover and enjoy in the glorious weather. If a location could be synonymous with a season St Ives and summer would be the perfect pairing, the sky gets little more blue, the seas a little more clear and the entire town comes to insane life as the streets bustle in the warm weather. St Ives Gin Festival

17th June at 12:00 - Guildhall

The St Ives inaugural Gin Festival is soon to take place, with a variety of drinks to taste with a selection of the best gins from around the world this is not to miss for the gin enthusiast. Admission costs £10 for the event but with free gin sampling and cocktail demonstrations you are sure to find something to enjoy.

St Ives Farmer’s Market

Every Thursday at 9:30-14:00 – Guildhall

A great way to immerse yourself in local life the St Ives Farmer’s Market is a wonderful opportunity to get a taste of Cornwall from the people who make it. It’s all local food from local suppliers so there’s no better way to get a reminder of your stay in St Ives with something that came directly from the location.

St Ives Swell Board Shootout

16-18 June - Porthmeor Beach

Pay a visit to Porthmeor beach and watch the Swell Board Shootout, an annual fancy dress charity event that takes place over a weekend and a variety of supplementary events coincide on the weekend. With live music and hopefully bright sunny skies the weekend should be the perfect way to enjoy your stay by the sea.

‘The Studio and the Sea’

31st March - 3rd September - Tate St Ives - Porthmeor Beach

‘The Studio and the Sea’ exhibition at the Tate St Ives is composed of two elements, firstly the history of the ceramics studio over the past century with work from the rise of studio pottery in the 1910s to a number of new commissions by a young generation of UK based artists. The second element focuses on the ocean and landscape through the work of young, contemporary British artist Jessica Warboys showcasing her films, sculptures, large-scale paintings and performance which she uses to explore personal or collective memories – historical, mythical or fictional.

Furthermore, guests staying with us this year are given free entry to the Tate St Ives and Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden and a 10% discount for the café and shop.
