Children’s activites this half term

The May half term is upon us and with the added bonus of two bank holidays, we are excited.

Whether you are looking to immerse the family into the Jubilee spirit, or looking for ideas to keep the kids busy, we have put together some suggestions not far from our luxury self catering apartments in St Ives.

Jubilee Themed Events

Jubilee Activities at the Star Inn

The Star Inn, St Erth is hosting a number of Jubilee themed activities for kids through out the bank holiday.

Pizza Party

If you are looking to do something a little different for dinner one night next week. Why not head over to the Star Inn on Thursday 2nd June, where, as part of their Jubilee celebrations they are inviting kids to come along to make, cook and eat their own pizza.

Fancy Dress Disco

If dancing’s more of your kids thing, on Wednesday 3rd June they will be hosting a kids fancy dress disco, with a Royalty theme.

Arts & crafts this half term

If you are looking for alternative things to do this half term, without the royal theme we have some arty suggestions.

TATE Create

Get creative this half term, come along to the Tate St Ives for an art workshop inspired by Ad Minoliti’s paintings. If your kids love anything colourful and creative, this will be a great way to spend an hour or two.

Workshop’s are between 11:00-15:00 throughout 29th May - 5th June.

Porthmeor Art Collective

St Ives School of Painting are also offering a workshop on Spray Painting Techniques on Sunday 5th June at their Porthmeor Studies .

The session is aimed at young persons aged between 13 and 16 years. Within the workshop you will use stencils and spraying techniques with a mixture of materials to develop peoples creativity through an artist.
