The warm sun is high, the water is sparkling, and the golden sands are inviting. It's time to grab the sun tan lotion and a beach towel, as we explore some of the stunning beaches in and around St Ives, Cornwall. For those of you who enjoy coastal adventures with your canine companion, you're in for a treat, but remember during the summer months our four legged friends have to abide by the summer restrictions.

As a general rule the dog restrictions around St Ives' beaches is that no dogs are allowed on the beaches between the hours of 10am and 6pm.

Porthmeor Beach – St Ives
Our first stop is right in the heart of St Ives – Porthmeor Beach. Dogs are welcome throughout the year outside of restrictions, and will certainly enjoy the freedom of the expansive beach at low tide. This tranquil spot offers the perfect place to spend a relaxing day out.

Gwithian Beach – Hayle
Just a short drive from St Ives, Gwithian Beach offers a wilder encounter. Famous for its stretch of golden sand dunes and rugged coastline, this beach is a favourite among locals and visitors alike. Porthkidney Beach – Lelant

Dogs are welcome here all year round, as there's no ban implemented- giving them ample room to roam and frolic in the surf.
