The Halsetown Fete & Beer Festival

Halsetown is just a short drive away from your luxury cottage in St Ives and their annual Village Fete is well worth getting out of St Ives (albeit not far) for! The party starts on Saturday evening, kicking off with live music and a beer & cider festival in the main marquee. Sunday is more of a family fun day; the beer and cider will be joined by a fun dog show, a fancy dress horse parade, bouncy castle, bucking bronco, face painting, hot food, ice cream van and much, much more!

Although there is usually ample parking in the Halsetown Inn carpark, it will be very busy for the weekend so why not leave the car and go by bus? The 55 can be caught from Royal Square every half an hour and drops you at the entrance to the event. The journey is around 10-15 minutes. See here for timetable.

Summer Island Disco

The Island Disco makes for a perfect reprieve from the beach whilst still making the most of our beautiful surroundings and the Island couldn't get much closer to your luxury cottage in St Ives. Every year, on the first Saturday of August; the island is alive with the sound of music, the smell of the best local food, a variety of thirst quenching bars and the happy buzz of the whole community - young and old - appreciating this incredible summer setting surrounded by the sea.

The Summer Island Disco’s main mission is to get together a selection of the finest food and drink vendors, musicians, businesses with pop-up stalls and quirky activities- all local- taking place in an otherwise relatively unappreciated part of the town during the summer months.

The Summer Island Disco is an all day event, starting at 11am and finishing at 8pm, tickets are available here at £8 per adult, under 10's go free!

Open Air Cinema - Porthminster Beach

For a cinematic experience unlike any other. This summer Porthminster will play host to Open Air Cinema who are putting on a plethora of films suitable for the whole family. Porthminster is an easy going 10/15 minute stroll from the Sail Lofts luxury cottages in St Ives, you just need to take yourselves and possibly something to snuggle up in! If there is something you'd like to watch whilst on your summer holiday, we highly recommend booking as these events are very popular and tickets will go fast.
