dog ban lifted cornwall

It's that time of the year again and our furry friends couldn't be happier. The dog ban on all 56 beaches in Cornwall is lifted today and it is time for them to enjoy the beautiful Cornish beaches.

Where to take your dog in St Ives?

From your 5 star luxury self-catering accommodation in St Ives, the choices are endless. Of course, St Ives offers beautiful beaches like Porthmeor or Porthminster where your four-legged friend will be able to make the most out of it. When the tide is out, St Ives Harbour will reveal a wonderful playground for dogs where the fun never stops. From Hayle to Porthreath or Porthleven to the Lizard, there are countless beaches where your dog will be able to enjoy themselves.

A fantastic Autumnal day out

When it comes to enjoy Cornwall with your dog, there really isn't anything else more fun than taking him on the beach when the crowd has vacated the place.

To celebrate the dog ban being lifted, grab your warm coat and head to Hayle Estuary with your dog. From there, you will be able to walk along the beach towards Gwithian. This fantastic beach will take your breath away. On the horizon, you will see Godrevy Nature reserve appearing and the Lighthouse. Godrevy Cafe makes the perfect stop to end this wonderful walk along the beach as they welcome dogs happily. If you are a real animal lover, we would recommend you to walk all the way to the Lighthouse as the beach below will reveal happy families of seal enjoying the quietness of the colder months.
