Boardmasters 10th – 14th August – Newquay

Take part in the biggest surf competition in the UK with some of the world-renowned artists all joining in this famous festival taking place every year in Newquay. Hellys international Guitar Festival 18th – 20th August

If you are a guitar amateur or professional, this festival is for you. With free lessons for everyone, some workshops, talks and music all day, this is the perfect opportunity to improve your skills or discover a new instrument.

Cornwall Folk Festival – Wadebridge – 26th to 29th August

This entertaining festival taking place in the lovely village of Wadebridge has many stages indoor and outdoor which will welcome many artists all passionate by folk music. This festival also offers a variety of local beverages and food to make this event a true all-day experience .

Tropical Pressure will treat you to a sustainable themed weekend of music, food and workshops. This three day festival celebrates the cultures of Latin America, Africa and the Caribbean, all from the heart of Cornwall.

Rock Oyster Festival 2022 – 29th – 31st  July – Wadebridge

Join michelin star chefs, for demonstrations, tasting, alfresco dinning as well as live music on the oyster stage from acts including Happy Mondays.

Magic in the skies Fireworks at Lands End – Tuesday and Thursday evenings between 26th July-1st September.

Head to Lands End for an evening of music and fireworks at the most westerly point of Cornwall, hosted several nights a week you are sure to find a date to suit you.

Family Friendly Events in Cornwall

Mousehole Sea Salts and Sail – 1st -3rd July – Mousehole Harbour

Mousehole harbour will be filled with scores of historic and classic sailing boats, invited from Brittany to Falmouth. There will be lots of entertainment, with stalls, music and food and drink too.

August is one of our favourite month of the year and with sunny days on the horizon, Cornwall has many beautiful locations for a great summer day out. If you haven’t been to The Lizard yet, take the opportunity to drive down to Kynance Cove, Coverack or The Lizard Point and explore areas of Cornwall you may have never seen before.
