St Ives Food and Drink Festival 2019
At the beginning of May one of St Ives' yearly calendar highlights is taking place. Between the 10th and the 13th of May the St Ives Food and Drink Festival is gracing the sands of Porthminster Beach once again for a food-filled weekend of events, music and sunny weather.
Last year's Food and Drink Festival had headlining chefs such as Jane Devonshire giving tutorials in front of a live audience. This year looks to be very much the same as Cornwall native Tom Brown headlines the event alongside TV chef Juliet Sear who will be giving live demonstrations of their talents on the stage over the weekend of the festival.
This year entry into the festival is free which means everyone can enjoy the weekend on the beach and make the most of May in St Ives, a short walk from our luxury self catering apartments means you can enjoy a morning walk through the town before making your way to Porthminster Beach for a day of fun.
With music taking place every night of the weekend on the Lighthouse Stage there's no better place to sit back and enjoy the weekend with headlining acts such as Daytoner and South West folk band Brother Sea. The event looks to be a stand out on the St Ives yearly calendar once again and will be an excellent place to kick start the warmer months in St Ives..
The entire festival is an excellent showcase of Cornwall's unique relationship with food and drink, with local exhibitors and chefs creating some of the South West's best flavours the St Ives Food and Drink Festival proves to be a recognition of just what makes Cornwall one of the best food destinations in the country attracting people from far and wide to experience just how unique this part of the country is.
With a few remaining apartments left for the weekend of the St Ives Food and Drink Festival 2019 there's still a chance to visit Cornwall and experience the best that Cornwall has to offer you.
