May and June Events in St Ives and Cornwall

It is always a good time to treat yourself to a break away from your daily routine and as Summer is now on its way, we thought we would give you a few ideas of events to attend to make the most out of your holiday.

St Ives Food, Drink and Music Festival

Enjoy your weekend on the beach whilst enjoying some food and listening to live music from 10th to 13th May. The event will take place on Porthminster Beach from 6pm and the event is now free to attend. If you would like to try yourself on the sandy dancefloor in the evening, make sure to book your tickets for the live music event or ask a member of the team in the office for some help.

Tate St Ives

On 24th May, Tate St Ives starts a new show with Huguette Caland's first ever exhibition in the UK. Huguette is a lebanese artist, first daughter of the firstever president of the Leban Make your trip an arty one by redeeming your free member card from our office and enjoy a free entry to the Tate and Barbara Hepworth's sculptures museum plus a 10% discount in the cafe and the shop.

Open Studios Cornwall

From 25th May to 2nd June, some artists are taking part in the Open Studios around Cornwall and open their doors to the public. Plan your trip depending on the artists you would like to visit and enjoy the drive through the beautful scenery of Cornwall whilst learning more about the artist's secret techniques.

Galowan Festival

From 21st to 30th June, head to Penzance to celebrate the traditional feast of St John. The festival has a packed programme of artists in celebration of music, performing arts & theatre.

The Eden Project

Perfect day out for the whole family, The Eden Project always offers some fun activities for everyone to enjoy. From a botanical painting course to the Male Choral festival, you have plenty of opportunities in May and June to learn more about science or simply enjoy having a stroll in the beautiful domes.
