WALKING IN ST IVES AND BEYOND
View of Porthmeor beach in St Ives from the Island. A perfect place to start a walk in St Ives

pull on your walking boots,

walking in st ives and beyond.

Rugged cliffs, pale gold crescents of sand, quiet coves and lush greenery – you’ll find all this in the space of an afternoon when you walk the coastal paths around St Ives and beyond. With the longest stretch of coastline in the UK, there are over 250 miles of designated footpaths to explore in Cornwall – here are some of the most popular walks:

St. Ives to Zennor

A great walk on the coastal path, taking in spectacular Atlantic scenery. Six and a half miles, with some fairly steep hills, but well worth it for lunch at the Tinners Arms (01736 796 927) when you get there.

Porthminster to Carbis Bay

A lovely walk of about three miles with wonderful views of St. Ives bay.

Porthcurno to Porthchapel

A short walk from one spectacular beach to another. Porthchapel is a far less well known than Porthcurno, and therefore much quieter, but it’s an equally beautiful beach.

Marazion to St Michael’s Mount

It’s only a short walk across the causeway which separates St Michael’s Mount from the mainland, but make sure the tide is out or you’ll need a boat to get back.
