From fairytale castles and ancient fishing villages to the futuristic biomes of Eden, Cornwall has so many ‘must sees’ you might have to save a few for your next visit.
We can give you the lowdown on hundreds of great attractions, as well as festivals, theatre and music performances, but here are some ideas to get you going in the meantime:
The Eden Project
The world-famous biomes of Eden, housing plants from all over the world, have rightfully earned their place as one of Cornwall’s most visited attractions.
St Michaels Mount, Marazion
A stunning medieval castle perched on an island amid sub-tropical gardens, and linked to the mainland via stone causeway.
The Minack Theatre, Porthcurno
A remarkable stone amphitheatre cut into the cliffs at Porthcurno, with amazing coastal views. Visit their website for the programme of events.
Paradise Park
Paradise Park is based in Hayle, just a few miles from St Ives and is a great wildlife sanctuary. If you do go, make sure to see the parrots - they're great!
Mousehole
A tiny fishing village on the south coast, a few miles beyond Newlyn, famous for its traditional ‘Stargazey pie’ and Christmas lights.
The Helford River
Lush, green estuaries teaming with wildlife, pubs on the water and grand estate gardens.
St. Ives Bay Line
This short, four-mile line is famously described as one of the most scenic railway journeys in Europe.
Isles of Scilly
A stunning archipelago of unspoilt islands only 28 miles from Land’s End. Visit their website for day trips by sea or air.
Lost Gardens of Heligan
