St. Ives offers so much in terms of location
— well positioned to explore the Land’s End
peninsular and other areas of Cornwall. With the
North and South coasts only nine miles apart, it
is possible to explore very different coastal
scenery easily without travelling far.
The coast road from St. Ives to Land’s End
and round to Penzance takes in some of the best
coastal scenery in Britain including Zennor,
Pendeen, Cape Cornwall, Porthcurno, Lamorna Cove
and Mousehole. Further afield you’ll find plenty
to do in towns such as Truro and Falmouth
(National Maritime Museum), Padstow, Rock, St.
Mawes, the Helford River and even more coastal
scenery and quiet sandy beaches and coves.
